First things first, farm a crap ton of fish scale by using Steal/Poach off of the monster Ichthon in Dalmasca Estersand and sell them to any merchant. You can also unlock Marksman's Delight at the Bazaar by selling two fish scales  .
Next, it's time to buy 99 phoenix downs from the merchant located outside the city, near the Gate Crystal selling phoenix downs for 250 gil each. To get there follow the areas: Rabanastre > The Stepping > Outpost > Yardang Labyrinth > West Barbician (Nalbina Fortress), altogether it should cost around 24,750 gil for a stack of 99.
Now time for the fun part, killing Dustia's  . Now it's time to go back to Rabanastre and get out through the west to hit the Damalca Westsand.
In the first area, there will be an exit near the north, Corridor of Sand. This is where the Dustia will appear.
Go back to the previous area again, and start punishing yourself to critical state (when red). You can use Attack command to attack yourself.
Now, in the configuration screen, set the speed battle to Slow, so you can use phoenix down without him having time to hit you.
Dustia will only appear when a party member has 10% HP, when Dustia appears, press the action button and use Phoenix Down on him to instantly kill it.
BUT PAY ATTENTION. After using a phoenix down, leave the area before his death animation ends, just take a few steps back to go back to the previous area.
Dustia will reset and reappear when you enter the area again, and you can do it as many times as you want.

| Didn't the Zodiac versions change it to be only 200 gil instead of 250? I could be wrong, probably need to download the English iso patch to test it. Also I remember it being way more then 24,750 gil when playing it back then lol |

Still, 50 gil does add up lol. If I did my math correctly that's a 4,950 gil difference  **** wish I knew that back then lol :.( that's a huge difference... |

What are you on? The zodiac age fixed the games rnd, the game is balance now.

Not really lol the game is so unbalance on the ps2. The newer Zodiac age maybe but we are talking about the ps2 version  |
